The harsh weather. The cold that blows through your fur and gives you sickness. The heat that fries and makes you wish you were dead.
The others. They care only about their territory and will tear you to shreds if you dare step on their terra.
The humans. They throw hard stones or bash brooms at your sides. They take you into their lives then leave you when it's inconvenient for them. You are now left alone, and unloved.
The street. Cars as big as monsters zoom by and crush anything in it's path.
And, the secrets. Some secrets that are meant to be hidden. Other secrets are deadly if they are not discovered.

The view was breath taking as Sara made her way into the central part of the city. There were dogs everywhere, and she didn’t know where to begin. Sara knew that her sister, Sonya, had managed to make her way to this city, but Sara had no idea if she wanted to meet up with her sister or simply wait things out. It was time that the both of them made a life for themselves and not their family. Sara was the more rude of the two. Sara had no inhibitors to speak of. She was blunt to the point you want to hit her over the head with a stick. She didn’t care if she offended or insulted anyone. Sara was Sara and she wasn’t about to change for the sake of another’s feelings.
The coloring of Sara’s fur was very unique. She was a very rare two-faced, saddle patterned color. Half of her face was bleached in white and the other faded into her brown. Along the back she had a black mark that looked sort of like a saddle. Few border collies were born with such odd markings. Just like Sorya, Sara’s body was built for speed and agility. Sara was slim to the point that her ribs protruded slightly. All in all Sara wasn’t the most beautiful but she definitely could hold her own.
Slipping to the side of the area, she comfortably sat in the shade. Sara wondered if any would approach…not that she honestly cared it was time to prepare for the night and cold.
